My name is Taylor. I'm a photographer and human; an artist with an awkward streak. I spent years behind the camera at a traditional portrait studio, honing my arsenal of dad jokes and learning to effectively wield a tickle stick. Despite such rigorous training, my favorite photographs are images where people forget about the camera; capturing spontaneous bouts of laughter, authentic reactions, and quiet moments. Though almost everyone carries a darn good camera in their pocket (or bag) these days, creating a powerful portrait requires technical knowledge, timing, and a little bit of magic. The world has enough duck faces and retouched images; I prefer to celebrate real, beautiful humans living in all their glorious imperfection.
